Yesterday, I boarded a tender (smaller transfer boat) from our ship to go on an adventure of a lifetime - to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef! There are a handful of natural wonders in the world that I HAVE to experience during my lifetime, and this was one of them. It did not disappoint! The ride was about 90 minutes to Moore Reef. Awesome, Cliff - Annyeonghaseyo!! Hopefully you’ve read, or at least heard about, MacArthur’s famous behind enemy lines 1950 Inchon Landing, which saved South Korea in the war! I hope/assume you’ll make it to the BIG city and, if there’s time, I’d recommend a tour of Panmunjom at the DMZ. It’s right across the line from the North Korea in a very stressful setting. Either way, enjoy some bulgogi and real ramen!! Back in the day, street food offerings I enjoyed included a bag of fried shrimp for about 100 won, which was equivalent to $.25! I don’t know the exchange rate these days but I’m sure that price is gone up as with everything else. Enjoy the rest of your trip and safe travels when you finally head home!!
ReplyDeleteHey Son, great pictures of south Korea! Cool to read what uncle Gary wrote. You guys will have more to talk about once you get home. Can't wait to see you!, love you
ReplyDeleteI’ve missed your pictures the last several days. Looks like no shortage of food or shopping. I hope you’re having a great time. I know you’re probably trying. Lots of new foods. Enjoy!
