The Birds and The Trees

Walking around parks and gardens in any new city is probably my favorite thing to do. The Royal Botanical Gardens of Sydney are vast and beautiful! It is very green, everywhere, and I've seen some very unique trees and flowers. There are parks everywhere and Aussies love being outside, but they don't like wearing shoes or flip flops haha. Some random guy actually walked into a store with nothing but a speedo on!

One thing that really stands out to me when walking through the parks are the birds - so many different species, colors, and bird calls. It's very cool to see and hear! Speaking of wildlife, I've decided to go to Taronga Zoo Sydney tomorrow. I'm very 50/50 when it comes to zoos and aquariums. I love all types of wildlife but sometimes these places can be depressing if the animals are in tight quarters or just don't look happy. I've been assured, though, that the zoo here is great!

Last night I met up with a friend I've known for almost twenty years and who has lived here for the last 7. We did a sauna session and brunch this morning, and later will be doing a well known beach walk and dinner with his cousin. It definitely helps knowing someone when visiting a new foreign country! I feel like I will be getting the absolute most out of my time here (especially cause he has a car lol!).
